🛠️ How to Install the CurseForge Launcher on Your Computer

🎮 What is CurseForge?

CurseForge is a popular launcher used to easily browse, install, and manage Minecraft modpacks. It’s trusted by millions of players and is one of the best ways to play modded Minecraft without having to manually install mods yourself.

🛠️ How to Install CurseForge:

Visit the CurseForge Website

Go to the official CurseForge website:
https://download.curseforge.com

Download the Installer

Click the Download for Windows (or Mac if you're on MacOS) button.
This will download the CurseForge installer to your computer.

Run the Installer

Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions:
- Accept the license agreement.
- Choose an installation location (default is fine for most users).
- Let the installer finish setting up the launcher.

Launch CurseForge

Once installed, open the CurseForge app.
You’ll see Minecraft and other games listed. Select Minecraft to start browsing modpacks!

Install Minecraft (Optional)

If you don’t already have the Minecraft Launcher installed, CurseForge will prompt you to install it first.
Follow the prompts to ensure Minecraft is ready to go.

Browse and Install Modpacks

Use the search bar or browse through featured modpacks.
When you find one you like, click Install, and CurseForge will handle everything automatically!

⚡ Quick Tips

- Twitch Launcher Users:
CurseForge used to be part of the Twitch App — it is now fully standalone, so you no longer need Twitch installed.

- Multiple Modpacks:
You can install and manage multiple different modpack profiles easily inside CurseForge.

- Updates:
CurseForge will automatically update your modpacks when new versions are released if you allow it.

🌎 Important Notes

- Always make sure your Java version is up to date for the best Minecraft modpack performance.
- Some large modpacks (like RLCraft, FTB Infinity) require more memory (RAM) allocated. You can adjust this inside CurseForge > Settings > Minecraft > Java Settings.
