🛠️ How to Change Your Own Gamemode


  1. Open the Chat:


  • On PC: Press T.
  • On Console: Open the chat or command menu (varies by device).
  1. Enter the Command:

    To change your gamemode, type one of the following:


/gamemode creative
/gamemode survival
/gamemode adventure
/gamemode spectator

  1. Press Enter to apply the change.


✅ You will instantly switch to the new gamemode!

🛠️ How to Change Another Player's Gamemode (Operator Only)


You must be OP (server admin) to change another player’s gamemode.


  1. Open the Chat:


  • On PC: Press T.
  • On Console: Open the command/chat menu.
  1. Enter the Command:
/gamemode <mode> <playername>


Replace <mode> with the gamemode you want, and <playername> with the exact username of the player.

Example:

/gamemode creative PlayerName

  1. Press Enter to execute the command.


✅ The player’s gamemode will change instantly.


🌎 Important Notes


  • You must have operator (OP) permissions to change gamemodes for other players. How do I OP a player on a Minecraft server?
  • Non-OP players can only change their own gamemode (and only if allowed by server settings).
  • Always double-check spelling — Minecraft commands are case-sensitive for player names!
