Getting Started With Your Counter-Strike 2 Server

Logging In

When you complete your order, you'll receive a separate email with details on how to create your account for our control panel, control.empowerservers.com.

Click the Setup Your Account button to create a password and begin using your server.

Setting your Steam Game Server Login Token

Counter Strike 2 has game server keys for you to assign. These keys establish an account as the server owner and are used to stop users from violating rules with bot accounts. The keys are required for most game servers using the source engine, and in this case is required for adding workshop maps and collections. The key can expire, but can be regenerated, as long as your account has not been banned.

Go to https://steamcommunity.com/dev/managegameservers, make sure you are logged into your steam account.

Scroll to the bottom of the page, set the App ID to 730, which is CS2, and the memo to whatever you'd like.

Once you click create, it'll show you your new game server account:

Copy the Login Token it gives you.

Once you have your Login Token, navigate to your server on the control panel

Click on Configuration > Startup Parameters, then scroll down to Steam Gameserver Login Token and paste your login token into the box.

Starting Your Server

On the Console page, press the Start button to begin using your server.

Connecting to Your Server

You may be able to just click the "Join" button on the control panel to go straight to the server, if it is online. If this doesn't work, follow these steps:

Copy your server IP from the homepage of the server management system.

In your steam client, go to the Game Servers page, and click the plus button on the bottom right:

Paste your server IP into the box, and press OK.

Now you can select your server out of your favourites list and click connect. It'll also show up in game.
