# How to Install or Change Your Server Modpack


# 🚀 Installing a Modpack on Your Server

Modpacks are curated collections of mods, configuration files, and textures designed to deliver a custom Minecraft experience.

||| 📦 **Before you begin: ** ****We *highly recommend*  taking a **backup** before installing a modpack, as **it will overwrite** your existing server files.

## 🧩 Step-by-Step Instructions

1. **Log into the [Control Panel](https://gp.empowerservers.com/).**
    
2. In the sidebar, go to **Modpacks** under the **Management** section.

3. Find the modpack you want to install and click **Install**.

4. When prompted, choose the **Delete Files** option to ensure a clean install with no leftover data from previous setups.
    
5. After the installation completes, return to your **Console** page and click **Start** to launch the server.

| Note: If you are unable to join the server after first installing the modpack, try restarting the server.

> 💡 **Reminder:** Make sure you also install the modpack on your **PC** using its appropriate launcher (e.g., CurseForge, ATLauncher, etc.) so you can connect to the server properly.
